Big Game Watch Party at Gilley’s benefits non-profit group
WHAT: Current and former Dallas Cowboys Stephen McGee, Jason Witten, Randy White, Drew Pearson, Jay Novacek join with Texans Can! to watch Super Bowl XLIV at Gilley’s Dallas. The public is invited to the biggest Super Bowl Watching party in DFW and can watch the game with legendary athletes and help at-risk youth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area all at the same time.
Door prizes, food, spirits, a pre-game Fan Fest and cheerleading clinics for children are all part of the DFW Big Game event. Fans will have the opportunity to talk football with the pros, get autographs from the Cowboys players, have photographs taken with them and enjoy reserved seating to view the game on Gilley’s HD giant screen.
WHO: Celebrating more than 20 years of serving academically at-risk youth, Texans Can! is a non-profit organization that offers a unique network of 10 public schools of choice located throughout Texas. More than 4,500 students a year are getting a second chance at life by enrolling in the non-tuition, open enrollment charter schools that provide an opportunity for at-risk youth to earn high school diplomas.

WHY: In Texas one student drops out of school every two and one-half minutes. Texans Can! is dedicated to changing these statistics one student at a time. Texans Can! is providing an opportunity for the public to enjoy watching Super Bowl XLIV with legendary Dallas Cowboys players. The proceeds from the fundraiser will help North Texas youth who have overcome obstacles to complete their education.
